Margliz Foundation is a Ghanaian non-profit committed to improving the economic wellbeing, resilience, and quality of life of individuals, households, and communities across Ghana.
Who We Are
Established in 2017 and based in Accra, Margliz Foundation works with vulnerable people and underserved communities to strengthen their capacity to improve their livelihoods, access opportunities, and become progressively more self-reliant.
Sustainable poverty reduction requires more than short-term assistance. People need the knowledge, skills, confidence, financial capabilities, livelihood opportunities, and supportive networks necessary to improve their circumstances and build secure futures — which is why our programmes connect individuals and communities to practical opportunities that strengthen their economic and social wellbeing.
We're committed to expanding our reach and strengthening partnerships that help us deliver greater impact across Ghana — working with communities and partners to develop practical interventions that respond to poverty, economic vulnerability, and emerging community needs.
Our Vision
A Ghana where individuals, households, and communities are empowered, self-reliant, and resilient, with the knowledge, skills, and opportunities to achieve sustainable and dignified livelihoods.
Our Mission
To empower individuals, households, and communities with knowledge, skills, opportunities, and resources to strengthen livelihoods, build resilience, and achieve greater self-reliance.
Our Approach
Poverty is multidimensional — a person may need skills to secure employment, financial knowledge to manage income, business support to start an enterprise, or livelihood opportunities to strengthen household resilience. Our programmes address these interconnected needs rather than treating them in isolation.
We design our interventions around the needs, circumstances, and aspirations of the people and communities we serve.
We engage communities in identifying their priorities and developing solutions that are locally relevant and sustainable.
We work with government institutions, development partners, private-sector organisations, civil society, community structures, and other stakeholders to extend our reach and strengthen impact.
We move beyond short-term support by building the capabilities, livelihoods, and resilience that enable individuals and communities to sustain progress over time.
Build Skills → Create Opportunities → Strengthen Livelihoods → Improve Financial Resilience → Promote Self-Reliance

Our Commitment
Lasting progress against poverty requires people to have the capacity and opportunities to improve their own economic circumstances — from financial literacy and skills development to employment, entrepreneurship, livelihood strengthening, and community support. We help people move from vulnerability to resilience, from limited opportunities to economic participation, and from dependence to greater self-reliance.
Empowering People. Strengthening Livelihoods. Building Self-Reliance.
